My 12-year-old pitbull was diagnosed with cancer in November 2021. Came out of the blue. They told me she had some sort of aggressive throat cancer that was causing some breathing issues for her. They said there was nothing that they could do for her And that she probably would not make it until Christmas of 2021. They wanted to put her down on the spot but I adamantly refused. I took her back to a holistic animal veterinarian around the corner from me who recommended turkey tail mushroom supplements. I’ve done my own research on the best diet for dogs with cancer and came up with a Recipe.I began cooking for her again like I used to do when she was a puppy. (I should’ve never stopped but work took me Away and I didn’t have time to continue until last year. )So, I began cooking for her again a special recipe that I concocted I just tweaked what types of vegetables are used in the mixture.Every morning, I add a teaspoon of turmeric, (this Anthony’s turmeric), three capsules of turkey tail mushroom supplement, some welactin oil (or EV olive oil) and some other things to the mixture. I give her the turmeric only in the morning. She was diagnosed with cancer in November 2021, before Thanksgiving. It is now September 2022 and I am counting my blessings for every day that she is still with me.We are taking it one day at a time. turmeric is supposed to have great anticancer properties and I was searching for a good quality organic turmeric powder to add to our food. So far, so good, knock on wood. She tolerates it well and it seems to be working well right now. I’m very satisfied with the product and the price point is good for the quantity. Thanks very much for making a good quality product. Gypsy thanks you too!I've always used 1/2 teaspoon based on the original research. I found a curry recipe and assumed that it was being eaten 3 times a day.The total turmeric came out to 1/2 teaspoon. The recommended serving on the package, 1 tablespoon, is about 6 times that size. It's still a good deal though, as this size will last me ~30 months. With inflation what it is, I'm sure the price will be higher in 12 months.1 caveat, however, the turmeric they use in India is always cooked. Bioavailability may be enhanced by cooking.I got this for me to see if it might help with some inflamatory pain. It may have a slight help but not much. However I tried it on a 15 year old dog who was having trouble getting on the bed...after about a week she was hopping on and off.I forgot to give her some for a few days and noticed the difference but after a few days back on it she was again getting up on her own. Annecdotal yes but seems very promising. I mix a tablespoon or two with a little butter and sugar and black pepper and she yums it up - she's about 40lbs. I'm going start trying it on a 13 year old dog who is getting a bit stiff lately.I really like the taste mixing some with black pepper, coco, sugar and milk makes a nice drink hot or cold. The results are too subtle to say it does anything for me medically but it does make a nice alternative to tea.Update: well I did it again my 15 year old dog (vizsla/beagle cross) was doing so well I again forgot to give it to her and she slowly got stiffer. She's now been back on for a few days and improving again. I finally just started my 13 year old golden retriever on it mixed with a little butter and a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper (necessary for proper absorbtion) and she loves it...no need to add sugar for her. Also I give a small bit to my four year old standard poodle; he also just likes the butter and tumeric....I only give it to him so he feels included. Too early to say if it helps the retriever but I have hopes. What a fantastic bargain for 2 pounds~ !!!! of very nicely packaged turmeric. The quality definitely exceeds my standards ~ I am ordering another right away. I love when you receive an item that is beyond your expectations and it simply makes you happy :-) Thank you Amazon and seller~Anthony’s.I’m so appreciative. If you like pickle then the flavor is spot on! Not sure of the pain relief. It's not like I take this and 10 minutes my pain is gone. I take it with other supplements in hopes that the suggested benefits are accurate and will improve my health over time.good value, safe, ingested robustly and often as the star of the smoothie show.Seems to be fairly good for pain relief! Give it a try.So far e seen an improvement. Product has good color. I will buy more.
