This book can be read as a cozy mystery but what I liked the most are the layers the author added to her story. Set in a small town, the story and the plot twists are based on the hypocrisy of the small communities which I find very interesting. At the beginning of the book, the reader can totally identify with the main character, Erin, the newcomer in the town and feel all the anxiety of being asked questions about her past and being told what to do, now when she is part of the town.On top of that, a murder occurs in Erin's bakery, and she is the suspect. Since the victim is her "rival", another baker in the town, for the small town things look pretty simple. Fortunately, police are not so subjective and the search for the murderer opens new possibilities and Erin's own investigation is not something you can overlook.Fun and well-written.
