I have been having issues with a very itchy (but not dry or flaky) scalp, as well as breakouts on my scalp. Shampoos like T-sal and Nizoral did nothing. Before splurging on a very expensive shampoo at Sephora, I thought I'd give this a try.It immediately cut the itching in half, which was fantastic. I also seem to be breaking out less often. It's not a miracle cure by any means, so it helps to have realistic expectations. I definitely still need to see a dermatologist and might end up getting the fancy shampoo anyways. But it was a good first line of defense and is definitely helping. It does dry your hair out, so I recommend using a cowash afterward. Actual conditioner will just make matters worse.I use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00RYRJEL8?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_titleThe smell is annoying but it works very well. My hair is soft and the acne hasn't gotten worse.I really love this shampoo. I have sensitive skin; it's not as bad as chronic eczema but I need to use "free and clear" type products. Traditional laundry detergent makes my skin itchy and if I use a product my skin doesn't agree with, I get red, itchy, rough patches on my neck. My scalp tends to be itchy but not dandruff-related. I also will have bumps that are pimple-like but not pimples (? yes, doesn't make sense to me either) along my hairline. Decided to try this product and I will never look back. It makes my scalp and hair feel clean but not stripped of natural oils, has NO smell, still lathers, and my scalp hasn't been irritated since. Give it a try.I first got this for my mother, who has sensitive skin, so that she could shampoo her hair in the shower instead of hanging her head over the tub and pouring a bucket of water on her head to rinse. She loved it, so I send it to her every month. Problem solved. I bought a bottle for myself, as well, and have been using it ever since. It gets my hair and scalp squeaky clean and doesn't make my back itch as some other shampoos do. It used to be "Free & Clear," which describes it perfectly and which is why I noticed it, but it works just as well named "Vanicream," although it is such a boring name.I have bad eczema and need unscented shampoo & conditioner! This brand is the best. Some reviews mention that it smells like chemicals-and it definitely does, but most shampoos mask that smell with a scent that would ruin my skin. It's not an unpleasant smell-and it's worth it! I use it on my toddler too!It has been hard to find a shampoo that didn't give me an itchy scalp but this shampoo has done just that! I love it and definitely will buy it again and definitely would recommend it for sensitive skin.My skin does NOT like scented products. Great to be able to find this shampoo. I have not seen it in stores. Cleans well and leaves my hair soft. Highly recommend.Had a lot of itching on my scalp. This shampoo stopped it. Will continue to buy it.I loved this in soft water. It has very little cleaning abilities in hard water
