I recently opened a disupte with an UNNAMED seller regarding my NATREN probiotic shipment arriving unrefridgerated. Seller said it was fine unrefridgerated if unopened. I called the manufacturer NATREN SCIENCE and asked if this was true. They said absolutely not! They tried to presude me to purchase from them (at double the price). I was upset and called AMAZON to utilize my A to Z guarantee. They were happy to oblige (Yeah AMAZON). I called another seller to order the same product. I told them of my dispute. They said that the SELLER WAS CORRECT. They informed me NATREN Tells CUSTOMERS THE "REFRIDGERATION LIE" and tells SELLERS THE TRUTH which is...The product has a stable shelf life of up to 7 days UNREFRIDGERATED if UNOPENED. She went on to tell me that the NATREN sales reps travel with the product in hot cars all the time. DON'T PAY FOR EXPEDITED SHIPPING and there's no need to pay double the price to purchase from Natren. BUY from AMAZON and enjoy paying the lowest price!Probiotics from NATREN DO require refridgeration after opening!I'm writing this update on 1/6/2013I have been using Healthy Trinity for 5 years now! I WOULDN'T GO A DAY WITHOUT IT! The first few years I used only as needed when I thought I would be getting sick. After tons of research I now take TWO a day! I've only had 1 cold in the last 2 years! I'm feeling the best I have ever felt. I have 2- 3 solid bowel movements a day, lost 25 lbs and keeping it off and took my cholesterol from 260 to 175! I can't say it is ALL because of the probiotics but it has helped me a tremendous amount! My Husband and 16 yr old son don't take them everyday but as soon as they come down with any type of sickness they happily take them and it stops it dead in its tracks!I've been shopping for Healthy Trinity all over the web and the best price by far was this deal on Amazon. I mean come on, how could I pass up $64.50, no tax, amazon prime 2 day free shipping? A no brainer. Even though I read the negative shipping comments I chose to ignore them and take a chance. Today is July 26, 2011, it was shipped on July 22...I am yet to receive the package. The tracking as of right now says "in transit". Even with refrigeration and cold packs, 5 days and counting is much too long, and from what I've heard American Wholesale doesn't pack with cold packs. There is no way to guarantee the potency of probiotics if they have been without refrigeration at any time. When probiotic products are shipped without refrigeration, they can be exposed to very high temperatures. Natren products are refrigerated from manufacturing throughout the entire shipping process. This has always been Natren's standard when other companies have misrepresented the potency of their probiotic products by claiming they are shelf-stable; they conveniently don't mention that their products are not stable when exposed to harsh temperatures in the warehouse, shipping and distribution processes. If other companies cannot guarantee potency of each strain through a printed expiry date, how can you trust any of their claims?It's clear this company is depending on the consumers ignorance. They bait you with a killer deal and hope you don't know about the crucial refrigeration and shelf life. If by some miracle it shows up in an ice box I'll update this review. But it's been 5 days and the most likely outcome is returning it immediately. Amazon should crack down on American Wholesale selling this product.***UPDATE: It's July 29th, still no product. I want a refund but I have no product to return!! Do not buy from this seller.Not sure if this was mispackaged for shipping? I have ordered before and it has always come cold packed. They say the probiotics are to stay cold to be effective. I guess sitting on my porch, in the heat, will make them useless! This is a lot of money for something that will now be useless!!! Unhappy!The product appears to be everything it claims to be and has been every good thus far. However I'm not so sure about the company. My shipment was delayed in transit for over a week because of inclement weather. As a result of the delay the ice pack that accompanies the bottle of capsules melted so I tried to contact the company to determine if they were still okay to use. I called their 800 number, and received a message stating that their representatives were busy and to wait on the line. After about 20 minutes of listening to a recording about how the company recognized the importance of every call and how it is one of their priorities that every caller speak to their representative I was transferred to another recording and the call was disconnected. I sent them an email message and I'm still waiting for a response.Good product, but NO - it absolutely will not prevent sinus infections. I saw one reviewer mention this and that info is totally misleading. Have been taking it for six months for other reasons, and I just had a horrific month long sinus infection. The good part, however, is that by taking a probiotic such as this one, especially while taking an antibiotic for the sinus infection, it does prevent yeast infections. But any probiotic, or even simple inexpensive acidophilus, will do this. This product does not claim to have anything to do with sinus infections.I already reviewed this product.
