These are more like sub rolls than baguettes. They are not crusty; they are soft. However, this is a great product for sub rolls. They are big enough to satisfy the sub roll requirement. If you have to eat gluten free, you likely know what I mean. While there are several good GF sub roll makers out there, the products I've tried have been tiny. They make a great garlic bread, but they are just too small for you to be able to pile ingredients on and keep them there. This bread can tend to roll over as you fill it since the bottom is more rounded, but that's no problem for me to deal with. Toasted, the exterior is crunchy (like the crust on toasted white bread), and the interior is soft and fluffy. It makes superior garlic bread, too.I recommend this product.
