I think I've tried virtually every protein shake powder there is. Some are good, some not so good. This is a not-so-good. I purchased this because it already had the collagen in it along with the amino acids most protein shakes have. This came in a mocha flavor (my favorite) so it seemed a win win. Once reading the ingredients, I was a little surprised that it had two forms of sugar, in addition to having stevia. Most of the protein shakes I've purchased have no sugars added, but this one has coconut palm sugar and honey powder, along with the stevia. I should have read that before I ordered it because I try not to have sugar added to my shakes. With a total carb count of 5, minus 2 for fiber, it gives you a net carb count of 3, two of those being sugar. Well, I made it anyway, and wow, that was shocking. It has a chalky feel in the mouth and has a strong burnt flavor. I don't know, like smoke or charcoal, but definitely burnt. Even after drinking it, later you can still taste a burnt smokey taste in your mouth. I have never ever had a protein shake, or for that matter any mocha flavored anything taste like it was burnt. I have no idea how you can even get that flavor, maybe burnt coffee beans? Whatever the case, this is not good. I see a bunch of high reviews and I don't get it. Maybe my batch was the exception. I'm giving it two stars simply because the nutrition is pretty good and the ingredients are non-gmo, and organic. The flavor is such that I would never purchase again and it is definitely overpriced. For me, it would be better w/o sugar, but at least it's organic natural sugar, so that's a personal choice. Sorry, I can't recommend this product. It's expensive, but it has a lot of the best ingredients in it, and it tastes better than any I've tried...especially the chocolate one (I like mocha too, but not as much). 20g protein + collagen - Id use it for breakfast or when I need something to eat and don't have time to make it. Simpler than whey protein, because it doesn't require a blender (I use a cheesy hand-held stirrer, but a shaker would work) and lactose free milk - with whey protein, you get a lot of foam, which just tastes like foam, but not with this one. If it were less expensive, I would use only this brand.I love this product, as well as the Chocolate Collagen Protein Powder from Protein Essentials. In April I had a DEXASCAN and the results were amazing after using Protein Essentials Product line for over a year. My last DEXA showed OSTEOPEONE and the recent DEXA was all normal. I was amazed and very happy. I use the colllagen protein powder in my coffee in the morning, PERFORM 100 cherry in an afternoon refreshing drink and now I have a Protein Powder shake in the evening. Thank you Protein Essentials, LLC.Tthis stuff really packs a punch. I was taking collagen, alanine, arginine and protein separately, now i get it all in one. Mixes easily with a shake bottle when on the go or I mix it with frozen strawberries and almond milk in a blender. Really tastes great. Only one small scoop required to get my 20 grams of protein, unlike some of the whey protein powders where you need to add 2 big scoops. I highly recommend.Tastes pretty good. Mixes easy.I usually just mix with water and ice in my blender.Good product, just don't like the MochaI can’t tell you how it tastes yet because it just came today. What I can tell you however is that the bag of protein was inside of another plastic bag and NOT SEALED. There was powder all over and quite honestly I’m afraid to even use it since it was NOT SEALED SHUT!Tastes great. Dissolves great
