I scored an apparently unpopular color of these nice, vortex hikers for $40. I feel like the cat that ate the canary. The colors are way better than I expected. The dark gray, or maybe it's supposed to be black, has kind of a blued gun barrel look. The yellow is low key. Only the light grey Adidas stripes are not to my taste. These are a lighter, less robust shoe than the AX2 CP that I also bought and reviewed recently. They're still pretty solid feeling though with a nice aggressive tread pattern and rigid, protective sole. The fit of these is larger than the AX2, which really hug your feet tight from all directions before you even tie them. Order your regular size in these. The Eastrail are supportive and firm if you lace tightly, but nothing like the AX2. These are more of a light, comfortable, all purpose shoe for those who spend time outside, as opposed to a purpose built, rugged hiker or work shoe.
